Jaws was “really, really hot” during our walk this morning. So hot, in fact, that each time we approached a tree, he ran ahead to get to the shade and stayed put until he ran out of leash.
He had plenty of water during the walk… he is always in good hands.
I can’t remember which day this happened, but a few days ago the girls asked if I could record them rolling down the hill before Natalie’s soccer practice.
I get dizzy just watching. I think my days of rolling down the hill are gone forever. :-(
The morning started with an early breakfast and hour-long walk.
After the walk, we ran a few errands. While out, we purchased flowers and potting soil for our empty pots in the driveway.
When we returned, dad and grandpa planted the flowers while grandma watched Jaws and the girls drew scenes from Spongebob on the driveway. Check out the before and after pictures below.
After flowers, everyone helped with a huge feast-of-a-lunch. We had cod ceviche, steak, fried potatoes and cannoli.
After lunch we taught the girls how to properly pronounce the word “MASCARPONE.” Eat your heart out Giada Di Laurentis.
This morning the girls wrote their first entries in their summer journals. It took a while, but they eventually got it done.
After lunch, the girls hung out at the mall while dad and grandpa had to work.
After work we enjoyed a mountain of Juicy Lucy burgers and fries at Matt’s Bar in Minneapolis. Both girls gave a “thumbs up” rating… as you can guess… the girls had fun.
