Building Gabrielle’s TV Stand
The other day, dad set up his camera 5o record the assembly of Gabrielle’s new TV stand. Dad got help from grandma and grandpa, but you can’t see them in the video. The stand is ALMOST complete so Gabrielle can finally get the TV hooked up in her room.
Dad did most of the work and he did not have fun. :-/
Atom Model
In science class, Gabrielle was supposed to build a model of an atom; she was assigned Helium.
Gabrielle and dad spent time on Friday, all of Saturday and a little time on Sunday working on the project.
Instead of making the regular foam model, Gabrielle thought it would be cooler to incorporate lights. Dad got a controller card and other supplies at Radio Shack.
The end result is a model of helium that appears to have moving electrons.
Gabrielle did everything except soldering wires and programming the controller card.
In the end, Gabrielle ended up learning more about circuits, resistors and LEDs than Helium, but she has an awesome project and will never forget how many protons, neutrons and electrons are in a helium atom.
It should go without saying, but Gabrielle had a lot of fun.

Wisconsin Dells
This weekend the girls spent New Years at the Chula Vista resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. There we met up with the girls’ cousins, Marco and Leo.
In addition to chatting, playing games, shopping and water slides, our New Years eve was interrupted with a fire alarm sending us into the cold parking lot (for a few seconds).
The girls stayed busy and had a lot of fun.

Presents!
Today the girls received their belated Christmas and (for Gabrielle) birthday presents.
Both girls received some jewelry and games while Gabrielle’s birthday bedroom was finally delivered.
As you can imagine, the girls had tons of fun.
Note: Dad put the pictures through a filter to make them look old-fashioned. Do you like how the new pictures look? Let us know…
Busy Weekend

This weekend both girls received upgraded phones and both went to birthday parties. Once the parties were over, time was spent chatting on Skype with cousins, eating at Doolitle’s, running errands and (of course) playing with phones.
In all, the girls stayed busy and had fun.
