For school, Gabrielle had to create something called a “Mystery Box.” She had to decorate the inside of a shoebox and educate her class about one of the fifty states; Gabrielle chose Hawaii.
Gabrielle and I made a trip to our local craft store and purchased a round paper mache box. We ended up with a tiki/beach/ocean theme that looks pretty amazing. We had some fun bonding time and I was able to teach Gabrielle how to use a hot glue gun.
Water was made with mosaic tiles and the lava spewing from the volcano is T-shirt paint.
Overall, the project took about eight hours and TONS of hot glue.

Better late than never.
Easter was celebrated a bit early this year but we had lots of fun anyway. Everyone went to Gino\’s house to play with Marco and Leo.
The girls, Marco and dad colored eggs and took turns holding Leo.
We were celebrating Natalie’s birthday at Gino’s house. Gabrielle was reading a story to Marco and Natalie. I came in to take some video and Marco thought I was taking a picture. Gabrielle tries to explain to Marco that I’m recording video (not a photograph), hilarity ensues.
This weekend, Gabrielle and Natalie’s cousin Marco came over for a sleepover!
Marco slept over on Saturday night. On Sunday, we watched Ratatouille. After the movie, we returned Marco to his home and devoured some monster-sized sandwiches and brownies. Delicious!
When we returned home, the girls created frozen bubbles outside.
We also spent time dancing, playing dress-up and playing Clue.
The girls finished the day playing with their Webkinz and eating shrimp.
As always, the girls had tons of fun!
